The Perfect Coffee
We don't like to get too pretentious about our coffee. Surely it's a given that coffee should smell irresistible and taste amazing (we wouldn't sell our coffee if it wasn't).
Coffee is a simply a berry that is dried and then roasted. The coffee farmer grew the beans to a best practice standard, they've since been dried and then roasted to a perfect consistency ready to meet the grinder burrs...
To continue the chain of best practice that has seen your coffee travel from the farm thousands of km away to the bag in your hands, we'd encourage you to buy your coffee in small amounts regularly and buy whole beans. You'll get more flavour, body and aroma out of your coffee if you grind freshly as you need it.
Which coffee to buy?
Not everyone can afford a fancy industrial grade coffee machine (if you can, then you're one of the lucky few!), but a simple plunger will give you some tasty coffee with minimal fuss.
If you want to get a little more satisfaction out of the process, grab a stove top espresso. These contraptions are cheap and produce a crema rich espresso right there on the old Shacklock.
Whether you're splashing out on a new La San Marco, or have just resurrected a stove top from a garage sale - if you want some tips on what blends work best with each process type, pop in and see us at:
